Adam Nitti has a come up with another great CD-Liminal.
Title track just blows me away, great bass playing from Adam, almost sounding Marcus like but soon breaking away to some awesome stuff.
Nice guitar breaks from Shane Theriot. Jeff Coffin also features on sax.
Distraction features a great keyboard solo from Alex Argento, and a fantastic drum outro from Marcus Finnie.
Redemption street goes down south with beautiful Hammond B-3 from Johnny Neal and more great guitar picking from Shane Theriot.
Adam goes solo with The Last Walk home and follows quickly with Not Forsaken with drum loops and Shane Cunningham on Lap Steel Guitar.
The Good Foot is all funk yeah!
Highly reccommended. Get it here.

It has been a long time since these guys did a studio recording. Fifteeen years actually.
Here it is and it has all the elements of a Krantz gig. Whilst Krantz’s live recordings did lack some audio quality, it always excelled with great improvised music.
This studio set does not dissapoint, and Carlock and Lefebvre are in superb form too.
Check it out here.

First, here is my album of the week.
From guitarist Ed Degenaro his second release -Less Is Seldom More .
This CD features some great musicians as well, with Dave Weckl, Ric Fierbracci, George Whitty, Joel Rosenblatt among others.
A very electic mix of fusion, and also going a little “out there” as well.
A lovely tribute to Joe Zawinul with the masters voice sampled on Joe Z.
You can get it here

Here’ the latest playlist.
Mike Stern has done it again, producing a superb album-Big Neighbourhood.
As usual he has come up with great tunes, with a mix of jazz rock, bebop that rocks, and voices.
The opener is a scorcher with guest Steve Vai contributing a great solo, Eric Johnson is also a guest.
Also featuring Esperanza Spaulding and Richard Bono.
This is a must have for Mike Stern fans. It rocks!
Available now on Heads Up Records.

The playlist for Sunday August 30th.
