Keith Carlock by the way was a star at the Steely Dan Concert last Thursday night. The band was great as was the sound and if you are a fan of the Dan and missed this concert you really missed something.
My pick of the night was Aja, with Carlock absolutely nailing the solos.

We will be presenting “Zawinul Music” 2 hours dedicated to the music of Joe Zawinul, who passed away on September 11th 2007.
Very sad news today.One of the greatest and most influential keyboardists Joe Zawinul has passed away in Vienna aged 75.
Remember Joe by listening to all of his great music he has made over the years.
Our deepest sympathy to his family.
It’s been a while since I last posted some news!! Due to tecnical difficulties with equipment it;s been a real pain!!
Spent time on the East Coast of Tasmania for a few days. Weather was amazing, We stayed in a cabin in a National Park, and guess what…there was no TV! Amazing how you do not miss it at all if you don’t have it. More chance to listen to the Ipod and some good music, and listen to the sea and the breeze.
Jean Luc Pontys new CD “The Acatama Experience” is highly reccommended.He has basically his road band playing with special guests Alan Holdsworth and Phillpie Catherine.Check it out a really nice CD.
Another CD you should check out is “Trios” by Damien Erskine the Bass player. This is a really cooking Jazz CD with three amazing musicians two of whom I have never heard of.
Check it out it’s a listening experience.
