The Bennetts Lane website had announced a special guest will be performing there on the opening night of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival (Thursday 3rd May). Well that special guest will be Chick Corea.

He will be playing with the same line up he is performing with at the Jazz Festival on Saturday May 5th; and of course that will include ex-Canberran Frank Gambale on guitar.

Jazz great Herbie Hancock will be here with an amazing band.
Guitarist Lionel Loueke, Drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and Bassist Nathan East will be here.
The band is quite amazing and very powerful, with alot of very funky sounds.Not to be missed.
Chick Corea will also be here with that great Aussie guitarist Frank Gambale.

French electric bassist Hadrien Feraud has just released his own self titled debut CD.
Some of Hadriens work recently featured on the stunning new John McLaughlin CD; Industrial Zen. I discussed the “Industrial Zen album with John McLaughlin recently and this was a feature on my PBSFM Radio Show- Bitches Brew.
I also recorded a Podcast with John McLauglin where we discussed this album as well as his legendary musical career. You can hear that Podcast here in the near future
