Jan Gunnar Hoff on My Space
Just enjoying this release from Bassist Bernhard Lackner.
Bernhard is an Austrian based in Nashville and the album was produced by that other great bass player Adam Nitti.
Adam Nitti’s recent CD Liminal is reviewed elswhere on this site.
Very melodic music 8 tracks in all with guests Adam Holzman on keys, Derico Watson Drums, and Steve Cunningham plays some really nice lap steel throughout.
Love his thick sound and great and great compositions. Also love the great keyboard solo from Adam Holzman on Being Away track 6.

Check this album out its a nice listen!
If you are a Mahavishnu fan like me, you will love this !
From 1972, live at Syracuse University.
This was “The” band of the day, probably one of the greatest Jaz Rock Fusion bands ever.

I am sure you will enjoy the book written by Walter Koloski- Power, Passion, Beauty-The Legendary Mahavishnu Orchestra.
You can find it here.
Enjoy !
As a lifetime fan of Miles Davis, I am always keen to hear new interpretations of his music.
Mederic Collignon’s Shangri Tunkashi La is a more recent one and what a stunner it is !
Mederic has collaborated with Louis Sclavis, and that should say alot.
The music here is from Davis’ electric period of the 60′ and 70’s, classic stuff.
Also check out all the voices on this-Interesting !

I first heard Mark Egan when he played with Elements and of course with Pat Metheny. I love his bass sound and he has come up with a new release that you have to have. Mark has assembled a brilliant cast-
Bill Evans-Sax
Vinnie Colaiuta-Drums
Mitch Forman-Keys
Roger Squitero on Percussion.
One of my favourite tracks is Cafe Risque, with Mitch playing some great keys and Marks Bass as haunting as ever. Vinnie as usual is magic throughout the album. This is a must listen for fusion and jazz fans alike.
Here is a sample from the track “Cafe Risque”.
